About
I am a tenured lecturer at the
Advanced School for Interpreting and Translation, University of Bologna in Forlì. I am a professional interpreter, translator and subtitler. I teach linguistic mediation, liaison interpreting, simultaneous interpreting and screen writing. My research interests focus on the sociolinguistics of Irish Gaelic; the perception of dubbing; the teaching of oral language mediation; child language brokering. The use of research methodologies borrowed and adapted from the Social Sciences and particularly from sociolinguistics (questionnaires and interviews) is the common denominator of all my research activities. The results of my studies in these research fields have been presented and discussed at various international conferences.
